However, there's only so much of a 730 page book you can squeeze into a two hour movie. But if you're considering cinematography, special effects, and characterization for a film- I'd say everything was pretty frickin awesome. fantastic Posted by Anonymous on Nov-29-2005 definitely the best of the four movies. it was hilaious at parts extremely sad at other and many people even thought it was scary. action-packed for people who like those kind of movies and the special effects were far better than the first three movies. it did leave stuff out but that couldnt be helped. i think they actually did a good job getting a lot of the story in. this movie has something for everyone and should be seen while its at the theaters.its meant to look spectaular on the big screen and it does. While they left a few things out, it wasn't bad because they really had to (the book is pushing 800 pages). I have not read the books, but those that have told me that a lot was left out, and if included, it would have extended the movie by another hour. I was really disappointed and wish they had spent more time or movies doing this right, or even close. If you have not read the books it is a cute movie. If you have read the books it fits in where the highland went alien for a movie then we all just pretended the show never happened. This is my favorite tale in the sereies, and was a bit dissapointed in the adaptation. The pacing seemed a bit too fast, and there was virtually no character development and very little screen time for the new characters. Oh well. I did enjoy most of what they did though.
